Hi there evreyone.A few of you may know me as Doublehex, the owner of the failed A Uniqe Campaign idea thread.It was an idea that whent from you controlling Nerubians to an Orc campaign that took place on another world, but was still in the Warcrfat universe.But noone liked neither ideas(the Nerubian one evreyone gave negative comments, while the Orc one no one said anything!!!) so I cancalled the project due to a lack of intrest. But now, just recently, while reading a War3x(frozen throne) battle report on www.Warcraftiii.net which involved an orc player takiing over a series of Islands, I thought up of a cool idea,(one that will hopefully not ruin the Warcraft 3 story);one that involves Thrall sending an Orc genral(don't know what, just thought up of the idea!), to capture a group of islands! This will recquire a ton of unit editing for two reasons: 1-You'll be fighting creep bases(like Murloks, or Ogres), and 2-It takes place between Thrall's rising as Warchief, and Warcraft 3. This time, I will NOT stop( or try not too,at least:gsmile: ) this Campaign.Since I don't know where to download a file that will allow me to skin units, I have ALOT of work to do!!!Wish me luck!If you have any intrest in this project what so ever, have any custom unit ideas, where I can download a skinning program,and/or teach me how to skin, please post it on this thread!!!!Thanxs, buy!!! |

uh that is a bland non-campaign material. Dont try for a campaign make a map. i dought anyone will want to fight creeps with orcs still. |

Remember in my firstpost, when I said Thrall sent a genral dude to a set of islands?Well, I decided fpr the genral dude to be a Blademaster named Killrog.As of right now, he'll have no custom skins or models, or any custom spells.He'll have only default Blademaster spells.I'll tell ya more about this Blademaster later on. |

As i said in the PM and the Post SAD SAD ideas do yourself a favor cancel this like all your ideas no one wants to play creep mods. AND EDIT POSTS DONT SPAM. creep maps are normally noobie modders first attempts at modding. make a few mapps to get the hang of the editor if you want but dont expect much help/support/people playing it more then once. |

SCVirus, you wont only be fighting creeps- in some missions you'll be fighting Humans,too.The Humans are there because they too whant these islands.As of right now, I will NOT be cancalleing this project. |

Hex, you think too BIG, do a map it will save you the depression of failure, I know, I tried to do a campaign called Within the Elven Homeland, it sucked I got 1 other guy to work with me, of course that guy is now my best(online) friend, anyway the campaign BOMBED, If I had made a map it might have survived |

Alright, I think SCvirus is trying to get a point across but I maybe wrong. Anyway, if you are not going to give this up at least create it in to a concept of why to play it. You are far better off not basing off WC 3 world but oh well. Lets look at it now: You play a blademaster, named Kilrog with no changed spells. Now this in its own is bland, at least alternate spells so it's more exciting. Second you are taking islands, yet you have said no purpose to this fact. Third you have mentioned nothing with separates it at all from pack. Fourth you've given no indication of having any plot or reason at all. So what possibly would cause people to want to play this? Attacking islands is interesting, but you need more. Since it is islands to make it more interesting it should involve ships. Now ships have the weakness of (assuming this is not an explansion map) not really existing. Which means they are flying units with the orc ship design. You could solve this through pathing, or just have battles involving naval a separate map from the others. To make a naval battle interesting, and semi realistic the best bet would be siege weapon like attacks. Ships having fast speed, medium speed projectiles, slow cooldown, and high damage. Allowing for the advoidance of missiles, and strafing, and perhaps having to aim ahead of enemy ships. Since I doubt you want to do fancy ai triggering, you would have to make the enemies have more ships, or much better ships. (Orcs probably havent had that much reason to improve ships anyway) Second whats the motivation. What do these islands hold that has created a vast ecosystem, and caused a driving desire for it. Is it money? Magical Energies? A trapped artifact or creature? Third once you have dealt with the actual naval part, whats the on land part. You mentioned assaulting creep fortressess, which could be interesting if designed right, or horrible if designed poorly. To make it interesting would require triggers to cause the creeps to actually take initiative at times. It would also require a heavy significance of use of artillery. Perhaps have triggers that if the creep is being attacked troops run out, forcing the player to create defensive posistions around artillery. If you were to just use a simple AI, with your unedited hero. You would just force the player to have to deal with a continually long poorly made melee. So if you are to make this map, due to the fact that you have not thought out, or let known anything interesting for story. You have forced yourself in to having to create more revolutionary or difficult things. That is assuming you want anyone to play this, who will actually like it at end. It is a good idea to not create campaign ideas unless you have actually have some idea of what the finished drafts will be. |

those WERE my 2 point the idea is completly bland/boring and not campaign material barely map material maybe just maybe it might be good enough to be a "1-time-single-player-play-when-your-so-bored-you-are-about-to-die-and-your-internet-and-tv-are-down-and-your-house-is-gone-and-all-you've-got-is-a-laptop-with-warcraft3-and-no-other-maps-map." EDIT if you were to make this into a mod it might be interesting, i dont know, if you wanted to keep your sad-*** storyline then something like wc2 (not exactly just based on them new models lots of new ogres not just magis and normals i dont know) or WC1 orcs(TC) vs another TC race (could be wc1/2 humans but the 2 races were always almost exactly the same so that would get boring) maybe a TC race that has nothing to do with wc3. i dont know but i just know that if you are going to keep this going completly change everything from your current ideas. |

why do they call the race humans anyway. There are like 5 human units in it Paladin Archmage Peasent Footman Knight thats it they should just call them an alliance |
