Is it impossible to have a Hydra as a hero while still using the Hydra's sounds? The only way that I can make a Hydra a hero is by making him a hero and changing the model. Can I change the sounds too? |

Guest | I really like to do such a thing too. I posted a topic on the same subject in the 'Sound Artistry' section. Is there realy no way to accomplish it without messing up the files? I thought of a way to do it, which is rather inefficient, but I think it works: make a trigger that mutes the speech of the unit when you perform an action that makes him talk (i guess there is an action to do this?), and at the same time play a triggered sound. That should result in a different speech, i guess. PS I tried something like this myself, but I still don't know how to make a sound play with a trigger. I tried the "play sound" action, but I just dont hear a thing when the trigger activates... |

Guest | unfortunately u can change unit sounds in the editor directly (if you patch the right SLK) and save the file (and the information is saved and showed rightly in the editor) but it doesnt work, WC3 ignores such settings, it always uses default settings. much things which work in the WE dont work in WC3. maybe we should make a protest for inefficient work *Gg* |
