Guest | I am making a custom race. The only way i know how is to change another race completely. i dont want to do this because that means the comp cant play as whatever race i changed. i was wondering if there is anyway to do this without changing up one of the other races to make my race. also i cant change the name of the race. |

You can create your own race and units in the unit editor by making them just a bunch of custom units and placing them on your map. HOWEVER, if you want _True_ integration with warcraft3, where your race is selectable from the menu, AND you want the computer to be able to play as your race you're going to need to learn the following: -Triggers -MPQ Editing -SLK Editing -Model editing -Skinning -Hex editing Unless you go the way of custom units, I suggest you try a slightly less ambitious starting project....although, if ya learn all that stuff and make something kickass, more power to you! :) |

Guest | The way I do it is very simple. You can make a campaign with a custom race just by making some custom units, buildings, and add new building system/tech tree. You can accomplish that with triggers. Once you made one scenario with the race, you can just copy that map, clear the land and make a new map, preserving all the custom units and triggers. Once you made your race, it's a very small step to make different scenarios with it this way. |
