Hey I had to reformat my comp and I don't remember how to make the maps be able to be 256x256. I looked in the tutorials section and found nothing relating to this. Could someone please tell me what I need to do again? THX |

there is a few ways to do it, there is a program called WE-tools, you can use zep's editor, you can edit the txt files your self to make 256x256 the default size |

extract one of the WEstrings text files, and change default map size to 256x256 min size to 256 and max size to 256. and put in your Warcraft folder, and done :D |

Which string? Can you give the specific name plz. I am assuming you get from the war3.mpq file. All I see is a bunch of unit strings and .skl files. [WorldEditMisc] CampAcquireRadius=200 DropTableIndicatorScale=0.25 DropTableIndicatorHeight=10 MouseWheelZoomFactor=1.10 DefaultMapSize=256,256 MinimumMapSize=64 MaximumMapSize=256 HelpFile=support\Layout\Index2.html DefaultDoodadCategory=D ClickHelperScale=0.4 Did I do this right? And do I have to move this file into my wc3 directory? |

DefaultMapSize=256,256 thats the way it should be, just place that edited txt file into Warcraft III\UI folder (not the mpq) i dont remember the exact file name, but its something like WESettingsStrings.txt or WETextStrings.txt but it doesnt matter that file you got that expert from is the proper file |
