After trying for a few days, i came to the conclusion that Frozen Throne's models were incompatible with Warcraft3 Standard. Could you please confirm or infirm this ? After many attemps and done all i could (apart from mdl deep editing), i was completely unable to implement a Frozen Throne model in a Standard warcraft3 .w3m file that would play in warcraft 3 Standard. Please let me know if you came to the same conclusion. If you did, at least people might stop asking for these models to be posted ^^ If you didn't, i would be really pleased to know how you achieved that as it seems imossible to me. I just wonder what is so special with these new models to give my maps such an headhache. (NOTE FOR NON BETA TESTERS : DO NOT ASK FOR THESE MODELS ON THIS SITE AS IT WOULD PUT WC3CAMPAIGNS IN A DIFFICULT POSITION WITH BLIZZARD, THANKS.) |

It happened with the last beta when you tried to implant them into the standard WC3. Someone needs to convert the files over for it to be possible, so don't bother trying not unless your good at mdl/modeling editing. |

Well i was just wondering if it was the same again ^^ Seems to be incompatible then. I know there is a way round but too lazy to find out, not in the mood to work out what mdl strings to look for today ;-) someone might even find out before i start trying again. This said, as the beta is time limited, and as we have to destroy the software when it ends, it would have been nice to keep a 'souvenir' in a standard war3 map, before the retail version hits the stores. OMG how can you cope still playing war3 standard after experiencing the Frozen Throne ???? Thx for the awnsers btw. :-) |
