You want your marine hero to sound like jim raynor? Well first choose a base hero (try something like azgalor cuz hes a total useless unit cuz there already is mannorath). Give azgalor a marine model and call him jimmy. Then grab all of jimmies sound from the SC cd. Rename all of jimmies sound to that of azgalor. Now get out a batch file and write MPQ2k a yourmap.w3m Azgalorsoundhere.wav azgalorsoundpath\azgalorsoundhere.wav Do that for all of azgalors sounds. Now run your batch file and now azgalor sounds and sort of looks like jimmy. For added enhancement wait till Berry2k releases his jim raynor skin. This works with other units too even regular old War3 units. |

Guest | Is there a way to mute the unit speech in a trigger? If so, you might as well mute the sounds of the unit and play triggered sounds on selection and order events. That way you don't have to provide the player with additional wav files. |

Guest | oh well.. for single player missions it may be convenient. Isn't there a way to make a sound play for one player only? |

Dang, I can't understand you... Quote:
Ok, what is a batch file? And why does writing "MPQ2k a yourmap.w3m Azgalorsoundhere.wav azgalorsoundpath\azgalorsoundhere.wav" make it work? |

Nope, sounds play for all players. And selection is for all players too. Luckily orders aren't though. |

Guest | I found the solution. Use a transmission. That way you'll even see a talking unit portrait. |
