i have been trying to take screen shots of my map but when i press the print scr/sys rq button, it sayes on the screen 'screen captured'. but then i look in my war3 folder-->screenshots and the folder is empty. any suggestions on y it is doing this? it might be becasue i have war3x installed but i dont think so. |

not sure if w3x works differently, but the shots normaly do appear in wariii\screenshots .... |

damit i hate the expansion. it is screwing up everything related to war3!!!(no i wont give u my cd key, so dont even think about it!) |

pushing print screen stores the entire screen in memory, opening up a paint tool and using ctrl v pastes it from the "clipboard" into the program, it should work even if the WE doesnt auto make the BMP file |

Guest | No, man. Whenever you hit "print screen" on windows desktop, it saves the current desktop image to the clipboard. Then, in pain, you can edit->paste from the clipboard to show the image there. Then you save it to wherever and you have a screenshot, old-skool style. It's not that hard. P.S. I don't think in the actual WC game it saves the image to clipboard, but I've had it save when running WE (on normal WCIII). In games such as hitman that run Directdraw the screen will come up black, so this is always not an applicable rule. -Syco |
