war3x items

does anyone know if this is true? in war3x, the unit editor u can edit items right? and i think that there might be a feture that lets u use the item when aquired. could some one with the beta plz cheack this out? i dont have the beta but i ahve the installer because there is gona be a server up soon for it. *cough*today or tomarow*cough*

No. Tombs must be coded to be auto used, because there isn't an ability for them that makes them auto used.

Keep in mind in essence, we are still using the normal WE. The new editor will have many many new features, and you can believe that what you are trying to do is probably going to be one of them. I mean they are even supporting native editing of the miscdata.txt (which is an slk now btw).

Also a note to all mod makers. The beta slks are a bit different from the retail ones (layout wise). They have new information etc. Just to let you know, you will have to rebuild all your custom slks when the retail comes out.

Thankfully also there is alot more functionality involved in spell editing. I havent done any tests mind you however I do know that abilities such as raise dead and mount hippogryph now have unit codes in the ability slk. They are no longer hard coded.

I though Blizzard pointed that The Frozen Throne would be completely compatible with war3classic, in other words that you could play any war3 classic map in the retail expansion, even modded ones.

I might just have been confused...

He's right anyone that has starcraft would know that the expansion allows you to still play original maps.

so u would be able to play war3 custom games on war3x, right?. but u wont beable to to play war3x on war3 classing i am guessing(and when i guess im really good)
