Guest | i am having trouble with the game cache, im trying to move your main hero from the main rpg map to a sub map (or cave) i created 2 maps= test map1 and test map2 on test map1 when you bring hero to the cave it saves your current hero to my last saved game cache created at the start called test.w3v (and i have tested this trigger to see if it makes the w3v but i dont find it anywhere!) the next map is setup to preload test.w3v and restore my hero in the cave (and yes i have made sure the variable and category names were correctly matched) what am i doing wrong? i hope you can understand my problem from that. |

Guest | forgot to mention my problem= the hero isnt restored and im having trouble on the restore trigger on the variable right after "category" that asks for you to select what game cache to restore from, i cant select "last created" since the cache wasnt created from this map, so i made a variable that is a "game cache" and just called it "game" dont know if this is gonne work or not |

Here's my experiments with game cache. I also could not find the w3v file but it is there somewhere as this works when I restart the map at a later time. I also haven't tested it by trying to open the game cache on another map but it should work since that's the point of using game cache. I may post a set of two maps to show it working on both but I might not. |

I've been able to make the cache work within the map as logn as you're playing it, but when you restart it, it wont load the heroes either, or when you go to a different map, and it's making me mad, I have it setup so it shoud work fine :mad: |
