In a word...........no.............for one I think it would take too much memory.......and the load times would be insane.......think about when ever a map loads........part of that blue bar is the tileset.....now imagine having about 10X more tilesets to load........mass load times........no one would even consider playing that map........besides you can just edit the tileset to get the ones you want

You can technically have 16 different tiles, whether they are un-addable (lack of better word) via 3rd party software. Zepir's can do it.

AFAIK, some tiles take up more space than others, so that's an additional limitation.

having just finished some massive tileset editing i hope i can add some information.

You are limited to 16 different tilesets using Zephirs, up from 12 for WE.

There are basically 2 different versions of a tileset. One is 16 blocks 4x4 the other is 32 blocks, 8 x 4.

So that means in theory you can have 16 x 32 different tiles. However this is not really so. A tileset of 32 blocks is really not 32. 14 of these are used for edges and cannot be used for anything else. That means you have 18 actual tiles that can be used for any location. The 18 are the right 16 squares + the top left and bottom right square of the left 16 squares.

Once again there are other variations with tilesets because some requre edging and others do not. For example snow and marble merges with grass different than say thick grass or dirt does. When you place most grasses they require an edging that is thicker than one tileset so you can gain access to the inner 18 tiles.

Anyways to fully answer your question as other have already. NO you can only have 32 tiles max per tileset so you cannot place all tilesets in one tileset.

Have fun!
