this only happened recently and i have no idea of how it could have happened at all - i usually leave a folder called 'Units\ ' filled with custom strings and funcs on abilities (along with abilitydata.slk) in my war3 directory and the skills are displayed in the editor just fine. However, just a few days ago, as i began further work on my map, i wanted to switch a few hero skills around and upon attempting to, found virtually NONE listed under Hero or Item or Unit abilities. strange, did i go wrong somewhere? The 'units\' folder in the directory contains: all race (including neutral) func and string .txt files and abilitydata.slk |

Guest | backup all your files, and delete the units folder. |

Yea...I deleted the Units folder... but then still remained the problem of editing my map with the custom skills I created (backed up before folder deletion), which requires me to put the strings and funcs and abilitydata.slk back into a new Units folder in the war3 directory. The only drawback to THAT is NO skills will show up in the unit editor when i want to modify the abilities/hero abilities field in my map. Keep in mind this only happened recently; the same Units folder i deleted had always been there (which is strange that the skills wouldn't start showing up now eh?), and I can find no cause/solution, whatsoever, to this. |

Guest | Try adding it to an mpq, and deleting your units folder after. |

it seems my double checks on the files were not good enough I usually don't bother to examine the Abilitydata.slk files thoroughly but when I had a hunch to check it once more...the command line for Alias was empty for reasons unknown. Upon finding this i promptly replaced the Alias command line and had the burning image of a NOOB stamp slapped on my forehead emote_sweat |
