Ahh! The Infestation!

OK, heres how it works. I played my favorite map, Valley of Dissent on bnet. Now when i open my WE, its INFESTED WITH THE VOD SPELLS! now im not dumb, ive checked in my units folder, in the wc3 folder, AND in the abilitydata in the war2patch.mpq, not to mention the original mpq. Ive searched my comp for any .slks and have not found any other than the original and one ive begun to edit, which has not worked, but ill get to that in a minute. now SOMEBODY, NEBODY help me out here! I NEED THE ORIGINAL SPELLS! now to MY slk. My comp is gay and didnt come with Excell, so i have to use notepad. This worked fine other than that it only will recognize my changes with wiebbs editor, so i use that instead of Dashi of Death's. both are good, but wiebbs duznt seem to work. I put it in my units folder and WE CRASHES! i put it in wc3, WE CRASHES! i cant get it to work, HELP ME!

Your files are corupt. Try remaking them. Also, alot of comps dont come with excell. Just do a search on google for freeware.

Well, i got my world editor uninfested, which was my major problem, but my WE still crashes at the sight of a new ablitiydata.slk in my units folder. i did remake the files and actually created another new .slk with a new spell for the purpose of testing. Didn't work. Eh, i suppose i could put my files on a disk (such an agony) and walk downstairs to use a CRAP comp w/ Excell. But it doesnt appear to be able to save correctly in .slk form, but i did ONCE get one to work, those were the good old days.....

reinstall wc3

After you unistal War3 you probaly should go into Regedit and iraticate all traces of War3 to make sure its gone.

well, after using the PIECE OF ABSOLUTE CRAP computer in my basement, which has excell, i managed to create a spell and get it to work in WE without it crashing. So i guess that it works, but i have to use that crap comp :( :bangH: :cuss:
