hi there, im new to the boards (and to WC3) i was wondering if there is a way to unsnap doodads and units, im trying to line up a wall for my city but it keeps snapping to grid so i cant move them where i want, also, is there any way to make it so i can put dodads inside eachother or on top of eachother? i know about ctrl+page but i cant get them to stack or overlap im thinking it is a similar problem to the first.

thanks in advance for any help

well for your first problem i havent ever heard of snapping to grid

but i do know whats wrong with you doodads

you can never put 2 doodads in the exact x,y coordinates even if it is higher

my suggestion is to mzke nuetral invunerable attackless units with no collision and diffrent fly heightsso they can be stacked on echother (if there flying you might be able to make them have collision)

thanks, i tryed the units thing, but i cant figure out how to make units use the dodad modles.

also encountered another problem while trying to fix this, is there any way to place buildings on unbuildable surfaces? IE: im making a town and the floor tile is brick (unbuildable) but i cant place any structures on it (besides doodads)

very new at this sorry for so many questions, i tryed doing a search and looking at tutorials but couldnt find anything on quite the same thing, but i may not have looked hard enuff

edit:read your post just as i wrote the reply, thanks tears the ctrl numpad thing helped. i just need to find a way to move the doodads in smaller steps.
