Lizard Rider

My 2:nd skin (1:st was the Tomb Lord, check the link below if you havn't seen it). This time I remade everything, including faces. I'm not too happy with the reptile, but I can't model edit or alpha out stuff and the model is stretching the skin a lot. The best thing about him is that he's bald :ggani:

Looks pretty good.

The platemail's monochromatic scheme is a bit bland, but it's a nicely done metal texture, and the lack of color is expected. Maybe add some decorations; clan symbols, belts, maybe large dent from swords/axes if they can turn out okay, etc.

I like the Lizard's skin, but it could be a bit more leathery. The toes look odd being bright green instead of claws or just normal skin. The face is also a bit off. At the least could you remove the nose? I don't recall any reptiles with dog-noses and it makes the whole thing look like a green skull. The ears might look better alpha'd-out or skinned to look like horns.

For an extra touch, making the face the same lizard skin texture might look better, and possibly moving the eyes to the side; Forward-positioned eyes are an aspect of mammals, not reptiles, IIRC.

Other than that, it works a lot better than I would have thought "Lizard Rider" sounded like. :gsmile:

Woah good job at second try! The armor is really well made, but you could give it some slight coloring and make some parts darker (i mean some of the plates). The lizard skin doesn't looks good, because you need to make it more irregular, like some parts darker/differently colored and the uhh the "parts" (don't know the right name for it) a little bigger and differently sized (take a look at kodo's skin). anyway i like it and wish you luck!

I like it clean and simple, but you'r right... Something needs to be added, it's just I that I don't know what really. It's supposed to be a new shiny armor, not a dented rusty one.

For the lizard, I know it's kind of stupid, I dont like the ears and teeth at all but I can't alpha or model edit... If someone could tell me how to alpha I can try it, I know how to view the alpha channel in psp but if I just paint in a color that justs paints the skin in that color.

For your face comments, good idea. I will implement them. The feet dont look very good but the model is really grotesque at that point and just stretches it ugly. I'd like to have claws but again I can't change the model. I don't know which part is the ears of the skin, it just takes a part of the skin and puts it on the ears.
