I don't suppose anyone knows of any way to change the map's name and description after having edited it to be a 256x256 map? If there's an editor/tool out there that can do this, I'd really like to know what it is, since it annoys me seeing my map as "Just Another WC3 Map" Edit: (Corrected the dimensions typo ^^;) |

I assume you mean 256x256 :). Anywho there's two ways you can do it. The first one is to use Zepir's editor to open the map and change the details. Zepir's Editor allows you to open and edit all the details of maps larger then the regulatory 192x192 map size. Your second option is to open your map in an mpq editor like WinMPQ and open the war3map.w3i file with notepad. This file contains the information you'd normally find in the map properties box and you should have no trouble editing it provided you don't break any of the other stuff in there :). ~kharma |

if your going to use the w3i file, its best to save your 256x256 map, back it up, shrink the map to 192x192, add a description, then export the w3i and wts files, and import them into the 256x256 map (you need the wts file also) |

Aye, meant 256x256, thank you, heh. Alright, I'll look for Zepir's editor, because I'd already tried the other method and it.. uh.. crashed the map. (And I'm glad I know enough by now to back things up, or I would have lost this map [Which, I might add, is VERY VERY complex]) |
