Tank Turrets in models ?

How would i make a turret like tanks do in 3dmax ?
so when it need sto attack a different direction it will turn the turret and if it needs to move to a direction it will move the base

Special effects, that attach the turret model u made to the unit u need it on.

I forget the exact triggers, but you have to attach it on with triggers, and then go Animation - Lock head (or something similar)

Somebody want to help this guy out? (more than what I did :bgrun: )

I would like to know as well, as I'm leading a project that's using tanks with turrets. One of them is designed with an ability that swaps the main turret for an anti-air missile launcher bay. So knowing how to do this with models would really help me out, too.

This would only help in custom maps. the tc would need
something constant, if ur going to have melee gameplay :(

I'm no expert modeler, but what I would do is make them two separate units (if possible) that always move together, and the turret fires, while the base stays in position.

But as we all know, I of course never said I did in the first place. Nor have I posted in even a small fraction of your threads. It's not my fault you totally exaggerate.

I asked because I simply wanted to know how easy it would be for the average modeler to pull off, not myself. I am sticking the tasks I can do and working on them to the fullest. And I of course never said otherwise.


Now that you mention it, remind me again how many campaign projects you've attempted to start this week?

that mario one was on the fourth. it is more than two weeks away. i asked for terrain for the game and said it was a secret. but I later said it was for the thief game. so thats 1
