Guest | Hi guys, After we extract the movie files from the MPQ format, do your guys know that how to convert it into a Video CD format so we can burn it into the CD and watch it by our Vcd player? Please give some example. Thank You. |

Guest | What format are the movies inside the .mpqs? I'd assume avi, since I remember seeing divx mentioned somewhere in WC3. Anyways, assuming it is a normal format, you can use a number of programs (I'd reccomend VirtualDub as a very powerful and free video editor) to edit and/or convert it to mpeg, and once it's into mpeg, you can use Nero to burn it as a VCD. Nero will do any resizing or resampling automatically. Also, Nero MIGHT (I'm not sure, try it and find out) be able to convert the original files directly to VCD, but I dunno. Check out www.ahead.de for nero, and search google for VirtualDub. |

Well if your looking for a conversion from avi (divx) into mpeg for vcd, try getting the freeware program called TMPGEnc, just go to http://www.download.com and type in TMPGEnc. Its a freeware program that converts avi into the type format MPEG of your choice, Probobly NTSC if your in North America/Japan and PAL in Europe. After that just burn it as a VCD using NERO. When you just use nero to burn AVI it doesn't run very well and the picture is VERY dirty. I've done this plenty of times with movies that I have downloaded and they look awsome, almost as good as the VHS that you can rent from your local Blockbuster! |
