I've just uploaded a new version of WinMPQ. Here are the changes: - Fixed a bug that prevented extracting empty files. - Added an option that would allow one to have WinMPQ search a specified folder and all of its subfolders for file lists with names similar to the open archive. - When you add a file, you are prompted for what path to add to the beginning of the filenames, and click cancel, WinMPQ no longer adds the files with no path added but instead it cancels adding the files. Go download it now! :ggani: Address is http://shadowflare.ancillaediting.net/ |

Oh this is good! An don't know if this happens only to me, but sometimes when i delete files inside the mpq, they look like gone, but the filesize continues the same... Is this normal/known? |

Simply just deleting the file doesn't make the archive smaller. You must also use "Compact" on the archive. |

Thank you Shadowflare for implementing everything I suggested. :D |

I suggest to make a backup of all MPQ files you are going to modify before you do so. If your MPQ is screwed up after editing, just replace it with the original. |

you cant add files to a map that is open in WE, you should add a prompt to say: "you cannot edit this file: its open" or somthiong, cause it took me a month to figure that out.... |

Err.. why? Thats true with every windows program in existance which doesn't specifically code something to get around that, and there is no possible reason for winmpq to avoid that.... |

JollyOven is right. Windows doesn't allow access to files which are currently opened. The result would be an I/O error. |
