Hello guys. I'm new to WC3Campaigns. I made an introductional post, which you can see by clicking here. I'm also very new to skinning, but it seems it's not that difficult to play around and actually I'm coming up with new skins very fast. Check out this High Elf Demon Hunter. I know something similar has already been done but maybe you enjoy it. Click here to see the skin. Also I'd like to know what is CnP? You guys say it all the time. I know it means Copy and Paste but what it has to do with skinning? Does it mean copying another person's skin? Anyway, see you. :) |

It means any work that isn't yours (textures, images, skins, skin parts, anything). But in skinning this happens mostly with other skins parts (e.g. pasting a skeleton face on arthas). About the skin, this was made at least 3 times and it's just a recolor, but anyway if're new so i can't say nothing, but i hope you start making your own skins soon, so you dont get addicted to recoloring... [edit] holy shit you're Brazilian too! Cool! Pm me if you want... |

Cool, another brazilian. I added you to ICQ. Yea it seems it's very difficult to actually implement new things to the skins, but i'll try to do that. What do you think it's the best way to learn? Is there any place I can find very good tutorials? Thanks. |

I picked up this link from a post by Pencil God, it's been useful, something to think about: http://www.planetquake.com/skindom/tutorials/ Just because it's not specifically for WC3 doesn't mean you can't apply those concepts. To skin, you'll need to learn to edit alpha channels, shade properly, choose fitting colors, and smooth things out without making them too blurry. I, myself, have just begun skinning, but I think I've got a fair grasp on most of the basics. From there, teach yourself new things and strive to improve. It would help to go through the forums, especially the tutorial ones, and read up on topics and FAQs. Hope I've been of some help. |
