If thats not c'n'p, ill be quiet and admire the fact that your doing your own work. If its cnp, then stop stealing 5 year old kids' work.

If you have photoshop then I would suggest just going in there and fooling wiht every feature you can find in there. Once you get to know the tools it makes skins a breeze. Its quite surprising that making a texture like the one pictured below can be so easy by just drawing the right stuff and using the right tools for the job. Once you know what you can acomplish in photoshop you should be able to make some killer skins!

Smudge and blur (lightly) to soften things. You can shade with the dodge and burn tools, but I don't much care for the ones in PSP (Which is what I use) so I just shade by hand. My tools are almost always set to a low opacity, unless I'm laying down a base color for something. You've just got to learn to have patience and to take multiple passes sometimes. Well, that's been my experience, anyway.

Can't remember everything off the top of my head, but some of the layer effects I used were Bevel And Emboss, Texture, Inner Shadow, Outer Glow. Also things such as contracting selections and the like were used. Plus some noise here and there. Mostly you can make some of the coolest stuff by creating a shape or something in a new layer and just fool with the effects. :ggani:

NIce skin kirby! Try to make the parts match a bit since they look a little too sharp. Blur the parts together a bit.:ggani:

Alright Kirby, this is constructive critisism, so no one yell at me!

Ok, I think yur skin is crappy, It really isnt that hard to make good armor. I mean, seriously... PSP makes it so easy... Here, Ill see if I can help, You dont even need that many tools to make nice looking armor.

Like for plate armor or sumthin, just select the part u wanna armor, and fill it the color you want. Then, make an outline around it, maybe gray, or gold or sumthing. I then use smudge and burn a bit(Low Opacity) around the edges, so they dont stand out too much, then on the inside, use a wide ranged Lighten RGB, and light it according to the light source. Thats about it, but in the lighted area, for added effect, I use the Lightness up or what ever, and make one REALLY bright part inside the lighted part.
