Tibercraft is a modification for Warcraft 3 which converts it to Tiberian Sun. This basically means Tiberian Sun in a three dimensional universe! Jobs Needed: - 3d Modeller - Skinner - Graphics Designer (Interface etc) - Mappers - Coders - Editors Yes we do have a website and forum! Our group (Project Perfect Mod) originally made mods for Tiberian Sun and other C&C games. This group has been active for about 3 years. The website: http://ppm.entexplode.com/ The forum: http://ppm.entexplode.com/forum/ From forum, you can make your way to the Tibercraft forum under the Projects section. Feel free to post in any other forum as well! |

Tiberian Sun was a Horrible game. Full of imbalances. The Ion Cannon sucked compared to both the chem and multi missles. Cyborg Commando was dominant compared to ghost stalker and hijacker can just steal the mammoth. Only thing GDI had over NOD was the firewall which was VERY limited and the Orca Bombers. Sides that NOD had better super weopons, special units, Base Defense, etc. |

Guest | I can't agree more with how much infinitely better Warcraft 3 is than Tiberian Sun; that was the biggest RTS disappoint of all time up to this point. However, if you still feel compelled to make this mod, I can't stop you. A suggestion for trying to get people to join your mod: share more information regarding it, what your exact plans are, and how you plan to do. Martin |

Tiberian Sun was the worst RTS game. The music was very bad and depressing. It made you fall asleep and die of boredom. The controls sucked like crazy. The graphics were dark and ugly. Red Alert was much better in all aspects. Finally Generals. Generals is probably the best RTS game. Only problem is you cant use the direction pad on the key board, but everything is perfect. The music is based on the nationality you use. The graphics is very deep and detailed, very realistic. The best part is probably the racial diversity and the balance. EA was able to make all 3 teams very different but still completely balanced. |

i aint tried Generals yet cuz i dont want to be into too many games at once or i dont get enuf time devoted 2 wc3 modding. the thing i hated most about Tiberian Sun is that when I would start the game nod would rush to multi missiles and crater up my base so i couldnt build anything. i would have to bild a raz, build concrete, sell rax, move conyard, rebild rax, and then bild concrete b4 i bilt any bildings. annoying. |

Hey hey hey; Tiberian Sun had a bad game engine. The game was too dark, and obviously by today's standards the game is outdated. But the C&C franchise is successful because of these early games, C&C95, Red Alert, Tiberian Sun etc The storyline, the units, the gameplay was good, if you explored enough. The Brotherhood of Nod, undoubtedly the coolest game side ever thought of in gaming history, had awesome units. Stealth Tanks, Subterranean Flame tanks, the incredible Cyborg Commando... But the Global Defense Initiative is no way lacking. The Brotherhood lacks brute strength, and this the GDI has. GDI's units are the most powerful, while Nod generally relies on sneakiness to achieve victory. Disruptors are deadly when used correctly, not to mention the towering Mammoth Mk2, that four legged legendary mech with the giant railguns. Anyway, Tiberian Sun in 3d will remedy most of the problems the actual game had. Remember; this is using Warcraft 3's engine, the game we all know and love. Here is some of the basic theory behind the units that will be made in the mod: Mutant Hijacker: Would have an ability "Enter Vehicle" and the range would be very close. So the hijacker would run up to the vehicle, take over it, and then using triggers, remove the hijacker from the game, creating the illusion of it taking over the vehicle. Unfortunately when the vehicle is destroyed the hijacker will not appear again. GDI Medic: Would have an ability "Heal", works just like current priest heal, only we'd make it more like the TS heal. Engineer: Engineers would work a bit differently in this. Since War3 has a different kind of building system, these guys would actually build your structures as well as repair them. Just give them the peons repair ability. Artillery: The ability "Deploy" would be based off the demon hunters "Metamorposise" or the bears "Bear form" Harvester: Harvesting, refineries, and tiberium will be very difficult, but I believe it can be done. I will not post my theory on this matter just yet. MCV: Again, it would have a deploy ability like the artillery Repair Vehicle: Would have a "Repair Vehicle" ability, modified from heal but changed targets to mechanical and not organic. Simple. Stealth Tank: Give it an invisibile ability. Reveals itself when it attacks something. Really simple. Subteranean Flame Tank/APC: The Frozen Throne expansion pack contains an upgrade for crypt fiends to burrow into the ground. I will be able to modify this ability, of course, but whether I'll be able to make them move whilst underground is another story. Tick Tank: See "Artillery" Jumpjet: This guy will be more like Ra2's rocketeer, permanently in the air. Amphibious APC: Frozen Throne contains amphibious creeps. This will be very simple to do. Mobile Sensor Array: Its deployed form will have a large sight range and "True Sight" Carryall: This could obviously work as aflying apc for vehicles only and 1 passenger slot, but it might be able to "lift it" as well, like in TS. Time will tell. --- Icons have already been imported and the interface being worked on. Now lets work on your problems with TS: Quote:
It is a conversion, this mod, not a complete clone. The mod would be balanced, the ion cannons and missiles reworked. Trust me, GDI and Nod will be equal in this mod. Warcraft 3 has a convenient armor system which will fix a lot of those problems. Quote:
New music will be in the mod! More exciting music! Controls are obviously Wc3 controls, (right click to move) and the graphics are now 3d! Quote:
There are a few changes in the mod, the building system being one of them. The engineer makes the structures exactly like the peon does. You can place these buildings anywhere. Superweapons will be reworked, and an option indiciating whether you want them or not. |

For the Juggernaut and Artillay deploying use the root and unroot ability. As for the Flame Tank and Subterranean APC you could use a move like bear form, that transforms then into an invisible flying unit, that cant attack. |
