Norbo's War getting a makeover!

Well, after being proclaimed the best map ever by many, and lots of "I love this maps," and even a few "UR GAY GAY GAY THIS MAP GAY GAY GAY"'s in there as well...

I've decided on a rebalancing of the military system, where a group of 20 units will be a true army, rather than a sustainable 140 unit army, which wreaked havoc on poor little slow computers.

The economy has been redone, reducing lag by 40% or so by making it far more efficient (yet still as in depth, somewhat more).

New units have been added and balanced to give a fighting chance against other units..

Generals are no longer godlike..

I'm changing it to, at the beginning of the game, you've only got a level 1 general and some workers (truly called tribesmen or something, only able to build a town forum and stronger fighters than the general worker.). You are nomadic until you find a good spot to start your town at, and when you place it, your money is regenerated and your town begins.. NO Creeps in the map at this time. Once a time has passed (not sure when that is, maybe after everyone has a base) creeps will appear in spots I have defined as long as there is not a person's base near it.

And my favorite part of all, a visual make-over. Some areas were awkward and others unbalanced, and others looked downright crappy. I'm fixing all that. I'm redoing the swamps right now, even if it doesn't quite look like a swamp anymore.. I'm thinking I'll progress across the map later.. But I like it.

well that map was pretty boring. and i only played it once and that was with you. its not that the map is unbalanced that it is boring but the gameplay itself. but i cant think of alot any way to improve it. a bit more explanation in the quest log would be good to someone who never played it before and have no idea what they are suppose to do like i was when i was playing. maybe some more strategic terrain edits would be good. also if not already done, disabling the black mask would allow players a small idea on how the terrain looks like and where they would like to build and expand their village/town.

if you havent changed the color of the title then make it a lighter shade of grey so its more visible.

Holy crap. You played that version? Heh, it's progressed a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo(etc)g way since then.

I have so far only had 8 people that proclaim gayness, one of which is now a follower of the map... Strange eh?

When this is done, perhaps I'll host it up here again.

The quest log is completed..

There's a lotta strategic terrain, all over the place-- i mean .. every base has some. Even the wastelands.
