If you can't get any mpq editors to work, sending you the slk would be useless, as you would not be able to use it. A much better solution would be to get a working mpq editor.

Winmpq - install the runtimes, then run the program. The interface is extremly simple

MPQ2k - Does not work with war3 retail without some work

TechMPQ - Extract the files. Run the program. I don't think there is any possible way for techmpq not to work.

Are you using the most recent version? There was an overflow error fixed fairly recently.

Just follow my little step-by-step guide on how to install WinMPQ in order to get it work in the FAQ thread. I explained where to download it (Shadowflares website) and afterwards how to install it.

Can you please specify what you did?
Here is what you should do:
1) Open war3.mpq (if you have Warcraft III v1.0) or War3Patch.mpq (if you have any patch installed). You can do this by simply clicking at the button "Open" in WinMPQ.
2) Search for the line Units\AbilityData.slk (you may be faster if you set the filter to SLK that it only shows SLK files).
3) Select Units\AbilityData.slk. You can either drag and drop it to any explorer window (also desktop). Alternatively you can click at the button "Extract" and specify a location to extract it.
4) Now you can edit it with any spreadsheet editor.
