I started making a new mod/map for warcraft 3. The map is 2-6 payers. It involves each player haveing a Summoner(Anchent of war, with different stats and models.) and there are different summoners (2 now when its done there will be like 5 or 6) each one can summone a different army. The army is free but there is a max of 5(may change) in it. Its set up around a CTF. So far its in like a beta stage, just need to put some final touches on it and finish each army.

To finish it i need to find out ...

How to switch sounds for units

How to make it so that each summoner can call in more then 3 different heros cus only heros can get the flag.

How to change the Roots grafics one the Anchent of war into some kind of like power circle or somting.

and i need to put some finishing touches on the scorboard.
Right now im thinking 1 point for each kill, 10 points for each capture, and 5 points for each summoner killed(they will automatically reappear somewhere in there base 10 seconds after they die.

Does anyone know hot to make it so a hero cant pick up a certen item?

the only way i know how to do that is by making a trigger, but i dont know how to set up that type of trigger.

You have to sceate a new unit using the sound you want, then edit the model/stats to be like the unit you want it to look like.
How to make it so that each summoner can call in more then 3 different heros cus only heros can get the flag.
Can you just delete the trigger that is created when you make the ap that limits this? It's under melee initialization

A crude way is just to tell him to drop it when he picks it up

I think he's talking about the "Uproot" and "Plant" icons that tell the ancient of war to get up or stick itself back in the dirt.

I'm not sure you can change those icons...you'd have to change the icons for the ability itself and for that you'd probably need to mod your map if you want to do that.

As far as how to tell it such that a hero can't pick an item up...you can modify the item itself with certain properties such as no drop but I'm not sure if there's a no pick-up property. You'll have to check by trying to create a custom item. If you want conditions on that (like if hero life < 50% he / she can't pick up item) then you'll probably need to make it that auto-drop trigger.

if you want a summoner able to summon units just give him the train ability (still, no progress bar looks odd so make the summoning time a bit short and attacha sfc when doing that
