Possible to use doodads as models for units?

Since we can use strings to define what models to use for different units, can we use doodad models? If we can, what's are their exact names?

yep, special effects too. just use the mpq path...

Where can I find a list of the doodad paths? I got one for the special effects.

use something like MPQview...set it to .mdx and there you go, all the stuff you can use...some of the special effects/weapons things are one go only (even if they repeat in the world editor they wont in the game...so make them when you want (ie the angel for resurrect spell)). shouldn be a problem for doodads tho =)

Is there any way to use the model of a tree? It seems all the tree mdx files are just flat white trees. I assume that the game actually pastes flat images onto the white low-poly tree models, but I could be wrong.
