The Pilot abilities

Does anyone know how to use the pilot abilities (pilot tank,load pilot, drop pilot)? I belive that they were used for the steam tanks, cause I saw a web page that said they transport.

I tried diffrent combinations on steam tanks, riflemen, custom units, and meat wagons. I had to make custom units, cause steam tanks, don't have abilities.

So if anyone knows how to make it work, without crashing the game. Please reply.

The pilot abilities are unused. They're originally made for the Armored Transport. Load a dwarf rifleman into it (Pilot tank) and it can fire ground units. Load a Mortar Team and it'll become a Steam Tank. Eventually they just replaced it with the Steam Tank and removed the Armored Transport which is why the game crashes when you try to give abilities to them.
