A few new maps and nerfs for everyone!

Patch 310

Map Additions:
- Adrenaline has been revamped for the expansion and has been added to the 1 on 1 template.
- Scorched Basin has been added to the 1 on 1 template.
- A new map, Floodplains, has been added to the 1 on 1 and 2 on 2 templates.
- Another new map, Mur'gul Oasis, has been added to the 2 on 2 template.
- Plains of Snow, has been added to the 2 on 2 template.
Changes to Neutral Buildings, Units and Heroes:
- Stampede area of effect increased to once again be 1000, up from 500.
- Tornado tosses units into the air much more often than previously. With this change, Tornado is quite effective when used against armies.
- Merc cooldowns slightly increased. Their cooldowns are now 50 seconds x Level + 10 seconds, up from 40 seconds x Level + 10 seconds.
Undead Changes:
- Statue mana regen reduced to 1.5/sec from 3 /sec.
- Destroyers now start with zero mana.
- Gargoyles are now unarmored type armor instead of light armor.
- Nerubian Tower frost duration reduced to 5 seconds, down from 10 seconds.
Human Changes:
- Powerbuild effectiveness has been halved. It now takes 2 additional peons to double the rate of building, 4 to triple, etc. Note that the cost increase per additional peon is unchanged.
- Flamestrike area of effect changed to 200, down from 225.
- Spellbreaker feedback damage vs heroes reduced to 5 from 7.
- Spellbreaker feedback no longer affects spell-immune units.
- Spell steal mana cost increased to 60 from 50.
- Dragon hawk damage increased to 1d3 + 18 from 1d2 + 17.
Night Elf Changes:
- Ballistas are now 3 food, down from 4 food.
- Ballistas gain the ability to hit trees when the Impaling Bolt upgrade is researched. Note that trees will not be harmed by follow-through damage from the Impaling Bolt. You can use the Attack Ground command to damage multiple trees.
- Hippogryphs and Druids of the Talon in Storm Crow form are now unarmored units rather than being "light armor" units.
- Huntresses are now unarmored and have had their stats slightly tweaked. They now deal 1d3 + 15 damage, down from 1d3 + 18 damage, and their armor has been reduced to 2 from 3.
- Mana Flare has been upgraded. It now gives bonus armor to the Faerie Dragon casting it (while it is being cast), as well as causing splash damage when it strikes targets.
Orc Changes:
- Hexed units once again move at speed 100 instead of speed 150.
Other:
- The mini-map creep camp indicator now displays 3 levels of difficulty instead of 2.
- Added support for advanced users to customize hotkeys. For further information see the CustomKeyInfo.txt file inside your Warcraft III directory.

I'm a Night Elf-exclusive player. And I'm agreeing with this guy. The last thing the NE need is less defense (Is blizzard high?)

WARCRAFT III KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS AND TOOLTIP CUSTOMIZATION

Customization of command keyboard shortcuts can be accomplished by creating a file called "CustomKeys.txt" in the installed folder of Warcraft III. Entries in this file will override the existing default shortcuts. Additionally, this file can be used to override default tooltips. The only utility required to create this custom file is a simple text editor such as Notepad. Once a customization file has been created in the installed folder, the gameplay option "Custom Keys" must be set to 'ON' in order for Warcraft III to actually use the data in the custom file.

PLEASE NOTE: Blizzard Entertainment will not provide technical support for problems associated with data contained in "CustomKeys.txt."

CUSTOMIZATION OF HOTKEYS

In all, data for the following keyboard shortcut entries can be customized:
- Hotkey
- Unhotkey
- Researchhotkey

A sample entry in "CustomKeys.txt" to customize the keyboard shortcut to train an Orc Grunt as 'T' would look like:

[ogru]
Hotkey=T

Certain actions have a series of hotkeys associated with the action. (For example, a melee weapon upgrade might have 3 levels of upgrade, thus facilities for 3 unique hotkeys for each level.) A sample entry to customize the keys to 'X', 'Y', and 'Z' respectively for each level of the Human melee weapon upgrade would look like:

[Rhme]
Hotkey=X,Y,Z

Other actions have distinct hotkeys for activation and deactivation. (For example, the footman ability Defend.) A sample entry to change the activate/deactivate hotkeys to 'A' and 'B' respectively for the footman's defend ability would look like:

[Adef]
Hotkey=A
Unhotkey=B

The hotkey for a hero to learn an ability is indicated in an entry called "Researchhotkey". A sample entry to change the hotkey to 'U' for learning the Paladin ability resurrection would look like:

[AHre]
Researchhotkey=U

CUSTOMIZATION OF TOOL TIPS

If desired, tooltips can be customized to match customized keyboard shortcuts. In all, tooltip data for the following tip entries can be customized:
- Tip
- Untip
- Researchtip
- Revivetip (tip for reviving heroes at altars)
- Awakentip (tip for reviving heroes at the tavern)

Additional tooltip entries to match the above keyboard entries would look like the following:

[ogru]
Hotkey=T
Tip=Train Orc Grunt (T)

[Rhme]
Hotkey=X,Y,Z
Tip=Upgrade to Iron Forged swords (X),Upgrade to Steel Forged Swords (Y),Upgrade to Mithril Forged Swords (Z)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

On average, how many players know the Unit and Ability Codes?
This can be very annoying for custom games if you want specific keys for each spell, especially when this affects both melee and non-melee alike.

Besides, the fact it looks extremely doctored Alan, if you look closely, I believe you're confusing 'rank' with 'solo level.' LOL

Just playing.

Ya, I agree, i was a NE player... but in my opinon they suck now..
So ive swiched to humans, enough about me.

The CustomKeys looks just a bit to advanced. I mean
in custom maps with own spells it will be quite a hell to implant
every unit/ability code into one text file... a bit too much work.
By my opinon that will be.

Anyone else notice the painfully obvious error in this statement? Oh well, looks like Blizz had Orc on the brain when patching lol.

LOL, yea, sure hmn rushes are anyoing, but still powerbuilding
now need 3 peanuts( =P ) to get ½ of the building time in the
trash can, hmm it will take hell of a lot resources. >_<

Wonder if unarmored is better then light...
The list goes as follows:

Light:
200% Dmg from Pierce
125% From magic
100% from the rest

Unarmored:
150% From Pierce
150% From Siege
100% from the rest

As i see it, they are improved for early game, though the dmg reduction sux *** ;(
