well, i was wondering how hard it would be for someone to make a tool that can extract triggers from a map and put them into another map. So if u had a bunch of maps that needed some sae triggers, u could have a folder that could be extracted and put into other maps. |

Well don't delete it! Maybe someone could make a tool where you can preview a model like Warcraft 3 Viewer, but one that loads custom models and blps. That would be sweet... It sucks opening WE every ****ing time... To Chapwuk: Just CnP them! |

thats why it was a request i was requesting for a tool that would do something u could already do anyway |

Guest | Problem is that you can only CnP 1 at a time. |

So does anybody know where to reach TheProphet (the guy who made it) or DarkYoda (the guy who gave the source code)? My C++ programming skills suck, but if it's written in pascal i think i can do something =). But probably it's in C or C++... or even Visual Basic.... Bah that sucks! Hey i'm being serious anyone that knows it post here! @ Spectre: Just move them all to a folder and copy =) |

Well i found the guy's mail in the about box (the last hope!) it's [email protected] . and it show a link to a site called www.xeberon.net . So who's going to mail him? |

O_o Oh god... That's demency... i saw some sources from opengl generated models in pascal and damn that's impossible! It's almost like assembly: it rocks but noone understand how to do it. Well i'll try to talk to him anyway. If he makes that he can make this too. I hope... [edit] Email sent, and i took the source. If you want just PM me or try again... |

Kdewolf sent me the following mail : Hi! Well, i'm a member of Wc3c, and i use your viewer, but it would be great if you make it like i say in this thread http://www.wc3campaigns.com/forums/s...&postid=149155 . We want a program that can load up any model (even outside the mpq) and the respective skin, exactly as he does now but with custom skins models. I tried making a new mpq, changing the war3.mpq path in the registry and putting models there but your program crashes when it loads up the model, and same thing when i try to load any model with the 'Load' option you made. That would be great, i'm sure, and almost all skinners would LOVE that (like me). Thanks in advance anyway. KDEWolf And I replied : Hello ! Thank you for your mail. I like when people tell me what they want. I can make what you request in this mail, but it won't be possible before the next week (I have contests to pass). The only thing I need is a custom mdx and a custom skin, as you told me. First of all, try to download the latest version of the program : http://www.xeberon.net/view.php?id=125 (many bug corrected, no more need of ijl.dll, no more need of the list files, textures are now well shown, ...). There are several possibilities : When you load the mdx using the "Load" menu, would you like the program to search in the War3.mpq file for skins, in the current directory, in sub directories of the current one, keep the structure outside the mpq, ask for each texture file not found in the MPQ ? If think the best way is to make the as follows : you load your custom mdx with the "Load" menu (that works now), and if the program doesn't find a texture file in the currently loaded MPQ file, it asks you the directory where the skins are (or maybe you prefer it asks for each texture file). |

"Task done." "Job finished." etc. You can download the new version, I have posted it (http://www.xeberon.net/view.php?id=125). It works now : you can load a model with the File->Open Menu, and let the directory structure for the textures be in the same directory, exactly like in the .rar you sent me : for instance : c:\Units\CinematicArthas.mdx c:\Units\Textures\Arthab.blp and I will work... I hope I made what you hoped... Just tell me if something doesn't work ! |
