I can't seem to do anything with it. I tried pressing Open Archive then opening the war3.mpq thingy but nothing happens it just goes back to the mpqview main screen and well does NOTHING at all. It says ready down the bottom left corner though. Please tell me if i'm doing something wrong. I'm trying to get the files for making a new spell.

Not only does it not come with the right listfile, but with the storm.dll it comes with it does not even support war3 mpqs. Use WinMPQ instead, theres no real reason not to.

Well but it's quite easy to copy storm.dll from the Warcraft III folder to the MPQ Viewer folder. Additionally it's not that difficult to get the appropriate listfiles.

While that does work, it really isn't much more work to just install winmpq, and eventually you will want to add things to mpqs...

Yes, but if you load a big file like war3.mpq, WinMPQ is quite slow. I always use MPQViewer for extracting from war3.mpq. Usually I use WinMPQ as it's just the best.
