Guest | Ok, this is the second half of a trigger I wrote for my rpg to show characters taking a boat across the ocean. Basically, the boat(triggering unit) enters the region way7 at the dock, and then I want the character Grimsword to pop up on the dock, or region wayFinal. Here's the code: Events: Unit- Unit enters way7 Conditions: Triggering Unit Equal to Ship 0229 Actions: Unit- Change Ownership of Grimsword 0004 to Triggering Player and Change Color Unit- Move Grimsword 0004 instantly to Center of wayFinal facing 90 degrees Camera- Lock camera target for owner of Triggering Unit to Grimsword 0004, offset by 0.00, 0.00, using Default rotation. Unit- Move Triggering Unit instantly to Center of play1Temp Unit- Change ownership of Triggering Unit to Neutral Passive and Retain Color Cinematic- Turn off letterbox mode for All player matching(Triggering unit Equal to Ship 0229) fade in over 2.00 seconds Cinematic- Turn cinematic mode Off for All player matching(Triggering unit Equal to Ship 0229) All that happens when the ship reaches the other dock is that it goes to region play1Temp (like it's sposed to), but the screen locks on the dock, and Grimsword doesn't appear there, or he isn't allied with that player, I'm not sure. You just have a locked, unrevealed screen. |

Triggering unit needs to be changed to entering unit. ALWAYS make sure that if you have a unit entering regin, use entering unit. It's pretty self-explanatory once you know that the different functions matter. |

Guest | Crud, it's still acting up after changing that. Is it some other trigger going against this one possibly? I don't see anything wrong with this trigger. |

Guest | I tried a couple of my own ideas, and I think it is VERY close to working. I posted pics so it's easier to understand what is happening. http://togashispace.50megs.com/untitled.jpg http://togashispace.50megs.com/untitled2.jpg You may need to copy and paste those. The first trigger moves the triggering hero(Grimsword) to a spot on the map, gives the player a boat, and moves him across the ocean. It works fine except that in multiplayer testing the camera goes into cinematic mode for ALL players, locks on their current position, and they are stuck until the boat reaches destination. The second trigger destroys the boat and returns the original hero to the dock (wayFinal). This also works, but in multiplayer there are problems where units change control to other players. I'm still working on it, but I don't know why I'm having these problems. |

Guest | I am not sure of this beacuse im kinda a newbie myself. But your turn this trigger off action is at the top. Perhaps your trigger is turning itself off before it runs the rest of the actions, and therefore none of the other actions are happening???? thats all that i can think of? but once again im kinda a newbie so don't hold me to it if changing that doesn't work. |

Guest | Good try, but no. If you look at the Turn off Trigger action, at the bottom it says it doesn't interrupt the trigger if it's currently running, but prevents further executions. |
