I'm trying to write my own script for 3dstudio max, I made some thing that work, but I can't get the other stuff to work. I made a script that creates a .MDL file. I can make my script export: Version (that was easy :) Mesh Verticles Mesh TVerticles Mesh Faces Textures and Materials Model Name !!! :) Animation Sequences (Mostly Translate) I need to know how can you make your script export: Mesh Normals Mesh Vertex Group Mesh Metrices Groups Maximum Extent Minimum Extent Bound Radius If u can plz help me with those and I'll try to make a good script. And I promise to share it with the community. Republicola, I know that your script rulez so if you can plz help me with mine by telling me how to make your script export the things written above. P.S. A little info from a very reliable soure told me that the original blizzard models were done on 3ds max 3 or 4 ! So I know I'm on the right track :D |

Of course they did it with 3D Studio Max (I think 4, 4.2 or 5). But they have got professional programmers who have a bit more experience than we modders. I hope that the MDX tool pedition is successful. |
