Im really new to this map editor and im still trying to figure it out, I was wondering how I can add other pictures to items like the human armor upgrade shield and sword. Also is it possible to change the cost of upgrades? In starcraft it was so easy but I don't see a menu in WE to alter the price of upgrades like Improved Masonry. |

You'll need an enhanced World Editor, I would highly recommend UMSWE 3.6, it's pretty hard to get it now, and I wonder why the staff haven't uploaded it to the "downloads" section yet. You can't download it from www.umsmaps.com anymore because that site is now dead. Anyway, UMSWE 3.6 is like the normal World Editor but with many extra features that gives you more power. For example, the units' model fields and their icons fields are now a string instead of a selection dialog. Included in UMSWE 3.6 are text files where all the models and icons in the game are listed. You just need to copy the icon string from the file to the unit's icon field and you're set. As more upgrades, I believe you'll need to do more advanced editing, that will mean tinkering with the .slk files and all that. I'm new to that aspect so I can't help you about it :bgrun: |
