ok once nicoli_s posted a screen of this thing on the forums and called it daishi so thats where the temporary name comes from... this guy is hidden in the 3dmenumodel of the ud, for everyone who didnt know till now. ok here is what i did; i uvw mapped him, since the one on him looked like shit, and i started skinning him, only some skin, no colors, no stuff like armor and so... i didnt make the model myself thats whjy im postin it as a skin ot as a model... but i think illl modify him later.... first i have to learn how to animate... i want him to be ingame :-) cNc welcome as always greetz mephisto ps: the mapping might change while progressing since i see parts that could be improved everytime i look at him. |

update... whole skin of the skin is shaded, now comes stuff and maybe even color^^ |

Very good. The placement looks right and the shading is very smooth. Anyway i'd preffer him WITH clothes... hehehe. But seem you have the technique, guy. |

he'll get some clothes, but im just at the beginnig and thats the way i work... first body/muscles, then the stuff over it... i work with many layers ;) maybe he'll even get some armor modeled n him... but i want to learn how to animate before i continue with stuff like that.... |

first, it is a skin on the model like kdub said... all modeling i did was deleting the other stuff and recentering... and the uvws... i dont know what it will be, i might change him still a bit (from the model side, skin will surely change) helll get clothes, like said before, and i have a problem, i cant animate :-( if anyone would do this for me, or at least the boning i would be happy bout a pm from that person, cos it might take some long time till i learned it... |

Well if it gets good enough (what i really think that'll happen) you can enter the Broken Edge Model+Skin contest :D. You may have a good chance... I can't because no one makes models for me. . . . . .:( |
