Ok, almost. The Darkness was winning and was never destroyed. Light was running it never won. Think of it like the Empire traking down the Rebels from hide out to hide out in Star Wars.
Here is a full breakdown of what i meant:
Ok here is the story concept for Fallen Angels:
Fifty Thousand years ago...
Before time first started its continuos flow...
Before Heaven and Earth... (before anything existed)
The Great Darkness reigned...
It was pure evil and malice...
A being, living, but a great death... (it was a living being but was evil)
It pursued us and sought to destroy us... (the Light was at war with the Dark)
We hid, We found a refuge... (The Light was losing and hid. remember there is no time or space, just a great emptyness)
The Darkness followed...
We fought it for a millennia...
We fought it but a second... (time did not exist)
I speak of We or maybe it was just I...
Or maybe it was another It...
Yet i know that i am a part of It, We, I...
Or maybe it is a part of Me... (this being was kind of godlike)
Now it is Us... (the Light was split, scattering its self through the creation,
becoming fully plural)
It, We, I were or was split by the Darkness...
Our destruction in the final battle created time, heavens, worlds...
Yet was it our destruction?
Or just another hiding? (they became one with the creation,
creating the forces of nature)
Maybe it was the destruction of the Darkness... (maybe this creation will result in
the end of the Darkness)
Now we take refuge in this creation...
For the Darkness cannot enter it...
The Darkness has no limits...
If it became limited it would be destroyed...
That may be Our victory... (maybe if the Darkness could enter
the creation, it would be destroyed, resulting in victory for the light)
All It can do is cast a pall over this world... (it influences people, portalling some
of its power into their actions and minds)
Disturbing its otherwise perfection... (this pall results in a unperfect world that
has war and death and suffering.)
Now the time has come...
Arise brethren!
Come forth Fallen Angels! (the Fallen Angels are the fragments of the
shattered Light)
The Time has come!
Echo forth our cry!
The Time has come! (the time has come when the Light will rise against the
Dark)
