Call to Arms

Can Call to Arms be edited/copied? The closest thing I can find in the AbilityData.slk is "Alarm" and it doesn't have any useful parameters (i.e. unit code or such).

I notice the the WE shows two abilities, "Call to Arms - Peasant" and "Call to Arms - Town Hall", i.e. one for each unit that can cause it. However, there's only one "Alarm" ability in the AbilityData.slk file... please please please, I'd love for there to be multiple types of Call to Arms for my map.

Actually it isn't alarm at all. It's two seperate entries called 'Militia' (Peasant call to arms) and 'Militia Conversion' (Townhall Call to arms). They both use a seperate code. The peasant version seems to work similarly to the Metamorphosis ability, whereby you can change the original unit type and the converted unit type. However, the townhall version has no such option, so unless it is dictated by what you have in the peasant call to arms you probably won't be able to enter a custom unit, unless you use the peasant as the base unit for creating it.

kharma, it's exactly as you say. I find it interesting that they don't have a parameter for what unit to "call" for the town hall version. Perhaps it gets all nearby units with the Call to Arms ability?

This is another example of Blizzard putting things in exactly the spot you wouldn't look for them.
Thanks a lot for helping me out.

So, what is "Alarm," anyhow?

Alarm is an unused spell. If you look its hidden in the editor.

So, is it usable? For example, if we yoink it into the world editor, can we do something with it? Or does it have no effect?
