Why would the Legion -not- invade Lordaeron? And wouldn't the Scourge have destroyed everything anyway? |

Guest | Oh, and a lot more would happen if the legion didn't invade. For one, the night elves wouldn't be druids. There would be no world tree. The night elves would practice magic. There would be no high elves. There would be no elf-human alliance. The continents would not be split. The dragon's soul never would have been forged and all of the dragon aspects and mates would still be around. There would be no Lich King, no orcs, no undead. Kel'Thuzad wouldn't have joined the scourge. Medivh wouldn't have gone mad in wc1. Cutting out the Burning Legion might effect the history of warcraft quite a bit no? |

ive got a couple questions on this: Map 1(cinematic) Scene 1: The king is walking in his garden. 4 Royal Gueards ar folowing him. Garona comes out of nowhere(telepeorts there), kills the guards ad stands in front of the king. King: "Who are you? What do you want?" Garona: "For you, I am Death, and Death shall take life. She kills him. Princ Arthas comes running with a couple of Royal Guards. Garona kills one of the guards and teleports with Arthas (somewhere?). Scene 2: The Princess (Calia) is standing. Behind her are 5 Royal Guards, formed in a half-circle. Lord Uther is standing next to her. In front of her a lot of peasants yelling "YEAAAHH". Uther: "By the decision of The Holy Order of Paladins, I, Lord Uther, name you, Princess Calia, Queen of Lordaeron." Calia:" The enemy's actions shall be revenged. garona had allies here. Uther! Dissband my father council and arrest them all." Uther:"But my Lady, the council..." Calia: "The council is NOT to be trusted! I gave you my orders! The new council shall be chosen by me!" Scene 3: The New council Cast: Queen Calia Lady Ecaterina Duchess Yvone de Leisombre Lord Evershade Lord Deepburrow Duke Windstone Calia: You are my High Council. The first decision we have to make is what to do with the old council members. Ecaterina..." Ecaterina"Trhey were sent to Everglade, a small town in the north." Calia: "Very well, we shall..." Guard (running in) : "My Lady! The indead have attacked Everglade. It seems that the old council members are commanding them. They have separathen into two armies. One is marching east, and the other north." Calia: 'They must be stoped! Yvone, stop the army at the east. You should be able to manage them by yourself. Windstone, Evershade, Deepburow, you take the army at the west. Ecaterina, you follow me!" questions: 1)do all of these take place 1 after another, or are they all at the same time? 2)how does garona kill people? i mean what attack? should it just be a normal attack, or a special-effect-ful attack, with cool camera movements? 3)when will all of these take place? 4)could you pm me the first map? please just answer me and dont quote. it gets confusing that way thanks |

Heh, I remember you from Cuc =) There's not really meant to be a great deal of logic or explanation behind the Legion not invading, and I'm not expecting them to even be mentioned in the campaign. I mean they waited ten thousand years, surely they can wait another few months for our campaign to start and finish? =P The scourge aren't preparing for the legion in this case, so they'd behave very differently. Perhaps they're a more modest force, not a massive stampede as they were in the campaign. As for the scourges existance (since they were created for the purpose of legion), I'll have to let Elf field that one as you do make a point. Guys I'm probably being pedantic here, but I think for sakes of professionalism we should be trying to make posts a bit easier to read. I'm probably just being a grammar nazi, it's kind of a pet peeve to see 11 consecutive exclamation marks and words with key vowels missing... Aquatic, I would appreciate a really detailed synopsis on what the first 3 maps are, and some firm decisions to be made. Email it to me if you need to. Right now I'm just terraining map 2, as I don't want to do anymore incase it doesn't work out/I need to change it. I am including elves of the water, and I will use the dialog tutorial if it's nescessary. *mafia-style nod to Amadeus for the heads up on that ^-^*. Also, I am terraining map 2 to account for the aquatic elves. I plan to create a semi-underwater town for them, which'll look good if I can pull it off. btw, I found an old template of a website (one of mine) which would be great for Symphony of Death. It looks really spiffy, so I'll recycle it and that can be our campaign page =) |

Here's some screens of map 2: #1 - Just above the players base, you can also make out an undead outpost at the top, #2 - This is a sidequest, two rogue bases. At the top one the player will discover the lower one is located to the north west of his base, and after getting there he'll earn a new unit/item. The one north west of his base requires the player to break through some lumber (see screen 4) #3 - The player's very limited base. The pally there will be replaced with the hero/hero skin when we get it. #4 - A small path leading into the players base. Also details on how the player can reach the 2nd bandit camp. |

Guest | man...it's crap!!! the killing stinks... the teleportation needs special effects... all crap...and sence it's a so short movie...you should make all scenes in 1 large map! |
| 05-10-2003, 01:04 PM | #13 |

okay, ive finished scene 1 out of three. is garona evil. which scene goes where. this is killing me!!! i am trying to figure it uot, but I cant. please tell meemote_confused emote_confused emote_confused also, can I edit the map just a bit to match my needs |
| 05-11-2003, 01:53 AM | #15 |
Oh dear. emote_sweat
To generalize, it's crap. The camera is static most of the time, the garden is incomplete, it's stagnant and people wont get the right idea about it. If her and Arthas are teleporting off somewhere together, make them look at each other, walk next to each other, then teleport off. |
