Well i had written a Hello note thing in general about 2 days before the database went bye bye, so for those of you who didnt see it... HI! ^.^ Now... I am making a Map, either War]-[awk Quest, or Orc Fields Bar, not sure yet, and i have a Character named "Sunrize." What i was wondering was instead of that "Cloaking at night" thing the Female Night elves do, He cloaks during the Day. Is this possible? Im rather new to the Map editor, though since it seems ALOT like the Starcraft Editor i think i'll be fine. I want to make this Day-Time cloaking a Spell/Aura thing, that he has to get with a Skillpoint/Leveling. Any help would be Greatly appreciated, but i dont really know how to use those other kinds of editors other than the World Edit (Other ones i mean like how some people made triggers through Text Files or something, makes HTML Editing look like plain old english) Thanks ^.^ ItMovesItDies |

ok after some research and poking around the downloads section of this site i now believe i can make spells ^.^; then i ran into another problem... When i was trying to extract the AbilitiyData.slk file from the war3.mpq on the WC cd (I use a proggy i found called MpqViewer) Well i can see the files and all that fun stuff, but i still ran into 1 teeeeensy little problem. SAVING the slk file to the hard drive. When i hit save it says "External Exception 80000003" abd no buttons other than "OK" then it says saving but nothing happens. The file saved is 0KB. Ok what am i doing wrong this time lolz. |

EEK! It doesnt work still! lolz, this thing needs a DLL file... It said it was missing "VB40032.dll" so if u have that too heheh... Im beginning to think some larger force is trying to stop me from saving these MPQ's lol. |

u need to reinstall warcraft me thinks |
| 05-23-2003, 08:14 PM | #11 |
I think you need to install Virtual Basic files, I DO NOT know WHERE to get em', search google |
| 05-23-2003, 08:17 PM | #12 |
Eek!! Don't reinstall Warcraft 3!! That's a Virtual Basic error and has nothing to do with the game itself!! (phew, now that that crisis is over...) Here's a link to the homepage of Winmpq. Simply go to the downloads page and dl the vb runtime files that are there. I had no idea so few people knew about this site, Shadowflare really doesn't get as much cred as she deserves :( http://shadowflare.ancillaediting.net/ ~kharma |

i dont understad what ur saying lol......... i just dled win mpq,and used it.... |

The VB runtime files are required for WinMPQ to work. Many people don't actually have the files installed on their systems, so they need to get them to run it. You obviously already had those files on your system. ~kharma |
