Inserting models in the wc3 editor and the game help me!!

Hi every1 i need to know how to insert a skin in my wc3 world editor and in the game...currently what i have been doing is
-Make the skin
-when ur in the world editor in the Model used i just put the link off my skin...

it doesnt work it says:Could not load (File Name)

another question i gotta save the file in mdx or blp??

Sorry for posting this thread in the gallery...but thats like the only place that people goes on to talk about skinning and stuff

i know there is tutorials but they got me all confusedemote_sweat

well i suggest getting WinMPQ to import files into the map. Tell me which skin you have and I'll give you a specific example.

Skins are in .blp form.

You may not have noticed, but there's a specific forum for questions about skinning and texturing. http://www.wc3campaigns.com/forums/f...s=&forumid=179 < here. Gallery and tutorials are just sub-forums of this one.

ok lets say i have a skin called Sentry.blp so what i do to insert it in my map??

you open WinMPQ. then open the map that you want to put it into. Click "Add" and select the .blp. then it asks where you wanna put it. type in whatever folder you got it from (for the sentry it's "Templates\" with out the "'s). Then close WinMPQ and put the unit in ur map. make sure you dont save the map, cuz the WinMPQ implanted stuff will dissapear.
