Guest | What kind of program do I need to make my recorded voice files do cool stuff like sound demonic, or warp it around with wierd effects? Once I obtain such a program, what are some of the names of the effects I'm looking for to do this type of stuff? Example: Ever hear the deathknight from War2? How did they do some of those effects? Also, there's no way that some guy has a voice that sounds like the Warcraft Orcs (hopefully), how did they do those cool effects? |

There are no effects that can turn ANY voice into a certain creature or entity - effects only add to a naturally well recorded voice. There's no easy way of replicating Blizzard's effects. The end result is typically something that sounds -like- it but nothing identical (Unless you break into Blizzard and find out their exact formulae ;)). Sounding like barely edited creatures like orcs is quite easy if you keep experimenting with tones of your voice. The main programs voice editors use are: Goldwave (goldwave.com), Cool Edit 2000 (www.syntrillium.com) and Sound Forge (www.sonicfoundry.com). Hope that helps. See the SA's tutorials section for help on how to record and edit. |
