been playing with triggers for the past 4 hrs (jsut got wc3 and dived right intot he map editor to make my own campaign, the only reason i like these games.)

but anyways i cant figure their triggers out. or i dont think i am... i might be but who knows.
heres the questions.

1. how do you set victory conditions. (heres an example so jsut anser this and i can prob figure the others out from there so this is an easy one) ex. How do i set a victory conditon against 2 players 1 player 1 computer. the player has to destroy the computers certain structure. do i have to set it as a quest? and if so how? seeing thats really got me confused now.

2. and the other how do i set up a campaign? ex. link maps, etc... like in starcraft they had load map trigger if victory achieved etc.

the best way to learn triggers is to look at the official campaign maps. Use a MPQ extract (found in our download section) to get the maps from the war3.mpq.

basically for triggers you have 3 things:

Event: when something happens

Condition: the requirements for the action below

Action: what do you want the trigger to do.

For victory/defeat conditions such as the question you asked, you can do:

event: unit dies

condition: (triggering unit) = (the structure)

action: game-victory for player 1(red)

Look at the official campaigns to learn how to link maps.
