Guest | well i've tryed editing modles with gmax (stripped down version of 3ds but free:foot: ) and whenever i try to export a modle using maxscirpt it says "--Runtime error feature not availible "creatfile"" no i'm wondering if this is just something because i'm not using 3ds or if it is a problem. if anyone could help plz do. |

I hope this helps..... GMAX SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! It cant do crap sorry. Get a better program!! Get milkshade or Wings3D. they are WAY better! |

At the moment gmax can't export with the exporter but it will in the future. Wings3d is a great modeler and it is what I use to model and uvmap models. I use 3d studio max for animation and rendering. Gmax is really a great piece of freeware because it has pretty much all of the essential 3dsmax features for animating a model. So wings coupled with gmax will soon be a great freeware duo for moding war3. You can get wings3d at www.wings3d.com |

GMax isnt crap. you people dont realise you cant use Gmax for anything except the games it supports ( quake 3...Dungeon Siege.. bla bla bla ) thats why its free too. |
