Battle of Britain is a new map im making, its like the WW3 maps but this time based on Britain. All i need to do to complete it is do all the ally triggers and decide whether or not i should give each race extra units. Here are some screenshots of it in the editor, the terrain is a little plain, so this is why im posting them so you can maybe give me some ideas on improving it. http://www31.brinkster.com/andih03/default.htm |

Why is it plain land...? Since when is brittain flatter the Australia? Oh ya, this map would be GREAT in some kind of either Melee map pack or fast-action custom map. I like the layout. The terrain kinda sucks, disregarding the layout, mate. |

I've change the terrain a bit, made it less boring. :D Now for the triggers and stuff like they have in the World War maps. I could just copy and past NuclearAsss triggers from the maps that make all the ally settings work in the World War maps.. but that would be wrong, oh and also because when i tried it i got errors and stuff. |

Ok i played one game with it on battle.net. Since i cannot get the ally settings like they have in the World War maps i instead use 3 forces, England, Ireland, Scotland. I had a 3v3v3 match, all was going well untill i found out that gold mines only had the normal ammount in, and there was an odd ammount of spare gold mines for each force. But then one of my allies said.. "hey i can build gyrocopters". I wanted this to be a no air map. After my two human allies started bombarding the enemies with gyrocopters all of them left. So not a very good start really.. but i have managed to fix all this. I might also add one or two new units per each race and possibly a new hero. Oh and another problem i haven't yet fixed, when the opponent leaves, all his units are still on the map, i want all his units destroyed when he leaves, i know this is done through triggers, but i just don't know what triggers to use. I also had a problem with way gates not working, i put two way gates on the map, i put the regions in for where the units would end up after going through the way gate but for some reason when i make a unit go into the way gate.. nothing happens. I've looked on other peoples maps to see if this is done through triggering, but they don't do it through triggering so i don't see why mine doesn't work with out triggers. I've now removed the way gates from the map so the only way to get from the mainland to ireland is with Zeppelins. |

Ok i've finished i think, im not going to bother with the ally settings or destroying players units when they leave, although i may change that in a later version. I'd like some of you to download it and test it, see if everything works, all the upgrades for the new units and also to post your opinions and how i could improve it. http://www31.brinkster.com/andih03/default.htm Thx :yup: |

But in case you want to remove a leaving players units: do this Events: Player - Advanced Events Set this to Player 1 (red) leaves Then copy+paste it until you have an event for each player, so you have like Player 1 (red) leaves Player 2 (blue) leaves Player 3 (teal) leaves Then, simply run this action using Unit Group - Pick every unit in unit group and do action set to Unit Group - Pick every unit in (Units owned by (Triggering Player)) and do Unit - Remove (Picked Unit) from the game. |

Ok cheers for that! :ggani: I've now played it about 3 times on battlenet, the first two times were fine, i was ireland and then scotland, but the third time, i was scotland again, the players in england started to tell me that they weren't allied. I was pretty shocked at this as no one in the previous games had mentioned before. So i went back to the editor to see what was wrong.. and i forgot to tick the ally and share vision box for england :( But all is ok now, i've also added a pathway from mainland to ireland and changed medivh apprentice's abilities. So if you have v1.0 of my map, please delete it and i'll update the link on the site. |

I couldn't find the "player - advanced events" so i had to use the triggers from another map, but it only works sometimes :( http://www31.brinkster.com/andih03/default.htm You can download the map and a replay of a game i just played from that site. I'm red.. but i won't tell you who wins :ggani: |

I've got umswe but i've got 5 .exe files so i don't know which one im supposed to use. And its also a lot quicker to just click on the link to the map which opens up the old editor. -- Done it now anyway, thanks for telling me where it was other wise i would of been searching everywhere to find out where that trigger was. |
