I wanted to conduct a little poll. Which is your favorite World Editor? Edit: All of these are outdated so either download UMSWE 4, or WEU 12. I don't want to offend you as you are a good guy, but this poll is complete nonsense. Everyone knows that UMSWE is the best of all enchanced/advanced (whatever) WorldEditors. It is some sort of combination of all these and hase some more features. I will only keep this thread open (I am close to close it...), because I want to know how many people out there don't know about UMSWE. And BTW, W3U (Warcraft III Unit Editor) is a useless piece of crap. It was once good, but since the newer patches, Blizzard added some extra fields to the Units editor, which means, that there are also more entries in the war3map.w3u file. The result is (believe me, I tested if a few days ago, as up to that day I though that this program is good) that some values will be assigned to wrong fields causing weird results. |

For such questions there is a FAQ. But as I'm a friendly person, here is it: http://www.umsmaps.com/files/UMSWE3.6.zip |

I've always though you were a hostile person, Starcraft freak. |

oh and just so you know, a lot of the things in Blink! dont work and its as old as dirt (well not realy but you know what i mean) and there is no competition between it and UMSWE 3.6 |

I have the blink and I like it, cause it has a bunch of new unit related stuff like sounds and button positions.. I know this can be changed in single player by importing UnitMetaData.txt, but does it not work in multiplayer? Because everyone refers to the extra unit entries as not working... I am confused, they work for me... Fiery_Maelstrom [email protected] |

Some things on Blink an even on UMSWE require the metadata.slk "injection" on the map, coz they´re not the "default" from Blizzard. Altought I could have enabled more options on my WE Proffessional I´ve chosen not to do so, to avoid this kind of "SLK Injection". For an example, button X an button Y will only work with injected metadata since this is not the default. The only problem is that my WE PRO is somehow outdated and I'm not developing it anymore. I´m currently waiting for the Retail version of the FT to get back to WE stuff, coz for now I´m busy with another project, the HeavyLocker thingy. |

UMSWE in addition to Zepir's one - mainly for path feature and adding tiles - that's the best combination IMHO ;) |

A hex editor, of course. Anything else is for wusses. |

I always use W3 Unit Editor to find out the unit codes of custom units (i need them in triggers and in custom spells). So for me its not useless ;) |

Yes, but the actual features don't work. That's why I said it's pretty useless. |

My vote is for ChrydGod's Enhancer SLK. But that's not listed. |
