Since people seem to be using MPQs as the only way to send mods, I figured I'd post a way I found out of having the game load files in the war3 directory and the subdirectories in the data files before looking in the MPQs. Go into the registry editor and open the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III. Create a new DWORD value named "Allow Local Files" and set the value to 00000001. You will now be able to place modified data files in the war3 directory and the game will use them like in the beta. |

and worldedit will read the files without any registry editing. |

Another Great discovery by yobguls I'm gonna further test this out tommorow..I really hope I don't have to make SEMPQ for my worldedit enhanced. |
