some questions:

what does the lvl of item do? is there benifits of making it high?

how many stats can you put on an item?

are there any little things i should know like you can only have x number of auras or is each skill worth a certin value... that kinda thing

As far as I know item level has nothing to do with the price or the number of abilities you can give the item. It only determines what items creeps can drop. If you look at the normal melee init. you'll see where the creeps are commanded only to drop items near their level. In conclusion this 'item level' variable only affects conditions that you give it. Not built-in hero-affecting thingys.

You know... I haven't ever tried more than 3. You can be the first one to figure out how many you can have :)

Okay, don't give unit abilites to items - it doesn't like to work. And try not to mix item bonuses with consumable items - it doesn't like to work. (I'm actually wondering if you've even opened the units editor because if you had you would know that abilites "is each skill worth a certin value" DON'T determine value - a variable does....)

ok what i ment by skills having vakues is say each item had a value of 1 and say an aura was woth .3 then you could only have 3 auras on an item, where as a "stat bonus(all stats +5)" is worth .4 so you could only have 2 stat bonus's

Sorry, my bad. Glad I could help. Anyway, I think my answer about there being no cap on the number of abilities should cover you question about the 'aura value' thing too.

you can only have 3 "skills" on each item ...

i tryed..

ITEM 1 -armor +5,armor +4,att +15, att+12 all stats +5 vamp aura,att+9 (in that order)
And got : att +15 armor +9

ITEM 2 -Life gen aura, armor +5,att +15, armor +4, att +12
And got: Life gen aura(dosnt show but is on) Armor +5, att +15

so ..

also to save me time, is there a trigger to make it if a hero is wearing all 3 items of a set he gets a extra stat?

im making a castlevania rip off map and its sorta like alucart set but insted of "luck + bonus" its going to be the life gen aura...

any way its possible?
