Is the stun buff art for storm bolt hardcoded? I changed the buff target art and it still has the circling blue thing, so I think it is can anyone confirm this? |

Think you had to edit the ability.slk and change the effects or somthing like this, ask darky or some other spell editor. |

Ive edited the .slk, but thats not where effects are. I also edited the target buff art under the .txts but it didnt work thats what makes me think its hardcoded. |

The stun buff is used by multiple abilities, if you haven't already, look in commonabilityfunc.txt and commonabilitystrings.txt. If you have already looked and changed them, and got no effect, then perhaps it is hardcoded. ~kharma |

hmm... if this is the case why is there a buff thingy [BHtb] code for the buff art and such... anyways I looked and there are 2 entries with the thunderclaptarget and stun icon, pause and stun which do you think I should change? |

i was looking through the files kharma was talking about the other day and I saw the entry for 'stun' and I'm pretty sure you can change the buff art for it. |

There are very few things hardcoded in Warcraft III and if they are there is usually a way to get around the problem with various triggers. So if stun is hardcoded (I have no way of checking that out right now, but I'll do it tomorrow when I come home). I think there is "stun duration" in dur and herodur boxes of .slk. Just set those to 0 and voila, the circle should disappear too. |

However Tufy, what that will do is not what I want, I still want a stun duration I just want a different effect for it... |

It might not be hard-coded. Sleep has some kind of special art and acts as a stun with a few mods (things dont automatically attack it). I'm not sure if its just a weird stun or a different spell, but give it a glance. |
