Movie Time Fade?

I have a question for cinematic experts here. Is it possible to make a movie time fade, say a camera that shows one thing than fades to another camera? Let me put this clearly: I want to create a camera that would show operations at one place, then I'd like to fade to second camera showing a battle without (I repeat: WITHOUT) doing a fade out/fade in or instantly jumping to another location. I'd like to have an effect of one camera still showing while the other is being applied similar like in fade in.

Try different levels of Transparency. That ought to do the trick.

Yes, but is it possible to apply two different cameras at the same time?

Not that I know of. Might go into more advanced triggering and such. I'm not sure. 30% sure that it is possible. But if you're doing a cine, remember that faking is the things you do. Don't go around doing realistic stuff.

No you cannot fade from one camera to another, it isn't possible.

Ok, Reading this gave me an idea that MIGHT work, not sure.

You can try switching between camera repeatedly faster than the eye can see. in other words:

E - periodic every .02 seconds
A - Show cam 1
A - wait .01 seconds
A - Show cam 2

You'll have to adjust the numbers etc on your own, since I can't test this with my comp busted. I think you may be able to fake a transitional fade this way.

It would improve cinematics a LOT more if you can.

It wouldn't actually work. There's no way you can go that fast and it would look so sloppy.

I've got it. Take a screenshot of the second camera. Use it as a custom fade filter and go to your first camera, use a lil transparency and apply the second camera. 2 things that hold my idea back. (That I can think of anyway)
1. Nothing can move or its gonna look wierd
2. I'm not sure but the dimensions could screw it up and if they do I will kill someone...8)

If memory serves me right, Custom Fades only work if you replace another fade filter.

If you were to do this for the whole cinematic, you'll have nothing else but custom fade filters, which is bad.

And it is more blurry than normal camera. I thought of this method before, but I knew these CONS will strike in.

@Mech
Just use JASS Drax's tutorial is really easy To implement them and you can have as many as you want.:D It would be fuzzy but I doubt it would matter much since its gonna be transparent and everything will be really confused.
