Modifying the main warcraft 3 screen?

The new race mod has done it for 3.2 (screenshot here) Does anyone know how to do it?

Does it have to be 3D animated? If so, would anyone be willing to create one for DCM? Maybe someone for NRM would be able to help?

It's a pity i haven't got time to work for a campaign but, just have a look in war3's mpq UI folder, there lie all the graphics for the whole interface, in different folders.

And you'll find all the control files in this folder :

UI\FrameDef

and its subfolders...

I suggest you open one of the .fdf files with notepad.... for the revelation ^^

Really? That's all it is? Wow I thought it was some hard core 3d thinger.

The trick is that NRM is a mod, meaning (I'm pretty sure) that it's a war3.mpq download to play it. That's entirely more flexible and more huge than implanting files into a map.

Yeah, it's a Patch.mpq, not the actual war3.mpq. Anyways, DCM is gonna be using a SEMPQ, which is similar, only you dont have to manage the mpqs.

Accually the just replaced the normal MainMenu3D.mdx with the Night Elf Campaign screen, and did a bit of skinning.

The same they did in RoK. The skinning is easy. Replacing the 3D stuff with another existing one is also easy. Creating a new one is hard (for me impossible).
