I was wondering if there was an easy way to make Fog overlap...It seems that when I create several regions all with fog on them...Only 1 works. I was wondering if therew was a way to make a deep murky fog by overlaping as many possible fog effects as possible. Im sure this has been asked, and yes....im sorta a newb in the effects/spells area, but I could really use some feedback. Thanks dudes. :ggani: |

Is there not a way to do that? |

Blizzard has confirmed that only one fog can exist in each large map grip (512 x 512). Furthermore, that is also the minimum size of a fog. |

I agree that it sucks. However, I think there are other ways to do what you want. First off, you can try using "cinematic fog" instead of "weather fog." The former is like a "fog" rather than a "mist" the way the latter is. Also, if you really want to be fancy, you can edit weather.slk to make the fog appear higher on the map, I believe. Why don't you descrive what you're trying to do in a little more depth. Maybe I can think of somethign else. |

Well, what I want it to look like are clouds. Sort of like your on a cliff, and theres nothing but clouds and sky below you, so if you fall, your a dead man. I want it to look really thick, so it sorta hides the ground...My goals is to make it seem like your miles and miles above the ground, only without having to be that high up... |

Does this mean that the main portion of a map takes place on the top, and you can only see this fog along the edges? Perhaps you can make a model containing a "cloud" effect, like plague cloud recolored to be white. Or maybe you can raise the z coordinate of the "weather" fog in weather.slk and make it so that your cliff only runs along the edges of the large grid boxes. |

Ya, those are very very good ideas. I forgot to mention that the whole map will take place on cliffs, with "clouds" all around the edges. Making a new model is definately an option...The fog effects jsut arnt enough to make it look cloudish, and skyish. Ill figure it out later on in my map, im still working on terrian and balancing. Thanks a ton! |
