Walkin Under Doodads

I know people have said you cant do it....But there has to be a way around it...I got to make floating platforms for my map, and to do that, ive made blocks(doodads) hover in the air....Which isnt that hard, but hey, it looks cool. I wanna know if theres a way to make a unit be able to walk through it. Likes theres no collision at all. But then...They got to be able to stand on them, if they choose to jump onto them.. Does this make any sense? Its hard to describe what I need to figure out...I just want units to be able to walk under doodads, but still have them be a solid mass. Just make it where the open space is accessable by the heros. emote_sweat

...well, I guess 'Impossible' could work, too.

Maybe a SLK edit can do that. I am at school so I can test anything. At home I'll test a bit around and tell you the results.

You can´t.
Use triggers and use teleport. You can, alternativly, have a delay, you can make the effectful as hell though, if used right.

Well, I know you can teleport units from one side to the other, but my map mandates that units be able to walk under doodads because it has a 2d perspective.....So any ideas or ways of making units just not even think about the doodad would be helpful. Thanks to all those you have posted.

Ya, thats true...But the units that walk under them will also have to walk on them...Sorta hard to make a unit walk on a unit...I dont know how to do that, or id just do that. :/

make it flying. with a movement heght of 0. only way.

Make what flying with a movement type of zero??? lol, what are you talking about, and how would a unit be able to walk on a unit?

oy. make the unti you want to go under the doodad a flying unit with a movement HEGHT of 0.

Wait, I think you can, if its a flying unit that LOOKS like a doodad. But I cant seem to get it to work were a unit can just walk on a row of other units....Like its solid ground. Dang......

edit pathing with zepys editor. i dont undersand myself hjow to do this, but it can be done with pathing modificactions =P bite me di, u gota keep a more open mind =D

I know now how to make them walkable. Not sure if this helps, but I'll post it:
In the Doodads.slk search for the column "walkable". In the row of the doodad you want to edit write 1. Implement the file into your map. Done.:ggani:
